Dr. Gutowski earned his medical degree from Michigan State University. He then served a residency in General Surgery at the University of Minnesota and completed a second residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern. He also completed two fellowships; he returned to the University of Minnesota for the first one and undertook the second fellowship at New York University’s Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Gutowski has earned board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is also a member of professional organizations like the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

What is a Breast Lift?
A woman’s breasts start to sag as she ages. Pregnancy and weight loss can also cause breasts to droop. A breast lift or mastopexy is, thus, a cosmetic surgical procedure done to make the breasts look perkier and more youthful. Our Glenview plastic surgeon will remove excess skin and tighten the remainder. He will also reposition the breasts so that they sit higher on the chest wall.
A breast lift can be done on its own or in conjunction with another procedure, like breast augmentation or breast reduction. Most patients will be able to resume most normal activities after a couple of weeks, but they should avoid strenuous exercising and heavy lifting for a set amount of time.
