Dr. Gutowski is fellowship trained and board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He completed his college education at the University of Michigan where he did research in biochemistry and surgery. Next, he received his Medical Degree at Michigan State University and trained in General Surgery at the University of Minnesota where he dedicated two years to plastic surgery research. Later, his Plastic Surgery training was fulfilled at the University of Texas Southwestern, one of the most prestigious plastic surgery programs in the nation. His fellowship was then completed at the renowned Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at New York University.
To further expand and promote quality plastic surgery to his patients, Dr. Gutowski has proudly contributed to a variety of professional organizations including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Plastic Surgery Foundation. He’s also contributed to key committees such as the Patient Safety Committee, Quality and Performance Metrics Committee, Health Policy Committee, and the Breast Implant Task Force.
