Laser Skin Tightening Procedures

Before going in for any procedure, whether it be invasive or non-invasive, you want to learn about the advantages and the complications that can arise. Laser skin tightening procedures should be no different, though most people feel the slight drawbacks are worth it. The method itself can be used to tighten up the derma of your body, making it look tighter and more youthful. It can work on stretch marks and can help to retain youthful and smooth features permanently.

Stimulates Collagen

Your body needs collagen to retain its elasticity. When that collagen dissipates over time, your body will lose that elasticity, making it sag and look loose. The laser treatment can help stimulate more collagen to be produced, which will fill in blemishes. Lines and wrinkles on your neck, eyes, mouth, forehead and body will fade away.

Non-Invasive

No one wants to be cut open, no matter who they are or why they’re doing it. Most people say if it is for beauty’s sake, they’ll do it, but that can only go so far. After that, you’re left with turning down the procedure because of complications of going under the knife. However, laser procedures that tighten up the body can be done without any cuts or injections. Most people don’t even feel pain, though some discomfort can occur. It can also help lower the cost of the procedure because surgical incisions aren’t necessary.

Hot and Cold

The laser system will cool the upper dermal layers even while the collagen under the surface is heated. Therefore, you’ll likely experience minimal discomfort, and some people say they don’t feel anything at all.

No Downtime

One of the biggest problems with cosmetic procedures is that you have to take the rest of the week off, whether this is for recovery time or to lessen the puffiness and bruising that accompanies many procedures. However, laser skin tightening options don’t need downtime so you can go back to work immediately.

Side Effects

While they are few, this, along with almost every other procedure, can have side effects. You may notice that your body is a little sensitive in the areas treated by the lasers and may notice that it’s warmer to the touch. Very rarely, you’ll have bruising in the treated area or a change in your skins’ color.
