For me, one of the joys of plastic surgery is forming bonds and relationships with my patients.
Patient:
When I went to Dr. Gutowski, he was so… it wasn’t flippant, he was casual about it. He said, “You’ll be fine. You’re a healthy woman, you’re in good shape.” And he said, “You’re going to be fine.”
Dr. Gutowski:
The challenge of plastic surgery involves not only just performing procedures and achieving a certain outcome, but knowing that the patient is entrusting you.
Patient:
He just instilled a confidence in me that I… and an attitude of positiveness that I didn’t have before. I feel great. I can exercise, I can do what I did.
Dr. Gutowski:
Perhaps some of the best surgery that I’ve done is when I have my team members with me and we can provide the best care to the patients by working as a team.
Patient:
Everyone at the hospital from Dr. Gutowski on, I mean everyone, they were great. It was just a great experience.
Dr. Gutowski:
The highlight of my day is when I see the patients three or four months later and they run down the hallway and give you a big hug because they’re so happy with the surgery that they had. So that’s much more exciting for me than being in the operating room.
